How to Make Banku and Okro Soup the 21st century way

Banku and Okro Soup

1. Put 3 handfuls of milled fermented corn dough into a cooking dish. Add 2 cups of water. Mix until it becomes a very fine broth,, Add cassava dough broth

  • Put broth on fire and stir with a spatula. Stir until it becomes difficult to stir. Beat until it is sticky, fine and cooked.
  • Take the cooked banku with a round bowl and mold into several ball, as desired. Cut okro into very little pieces. Boil your meat in a different cooking pot. Add 2 cups of water to okro in cooking pot. Add salt, tomatoes, onions and pepper.

    After 5 minutes, take tomatoes, onions and pepper, and blend. Add puree to okro. Stir soup for 5 minutes. Stand by the soup because it has the tendency of spilling over. Use minimal heat. Merge your boiled meat and the okro soup in one saucepan. Let soup sit for 20 minutes.
